A charming, elegant town with a lively centre and a huge port. Fascinating old port, and fort well-presented and interesting to visit. Current heartbreaking exhibition re Corsican resistance in WW2. Ate well, mainly Corsican specialities e.g, mussels with cheese, veal with olives.

I had the unfortunate experience of losing my iPhone at the start of my trip. The desk managers at the Hotel Kalliste were amazing!!! They worked tirelessly to help me locate my phone that was left in a taxi. Thank you to Ilme!! Thank you to Joanne!! Thank you to Thomas!! You all went above and beyond to help me locate my phone. Great sleuthing to all! I was able to retrieve my phone and carry on with my vacation stress free.

Ajaccio is a magical and beautiful town, full of life, beaches, and amazing restaurants. It is very accessible by foot, and the access from the airport is also quick and convenient. Locals (at least most of the people we engaged with while there) were helpful and kind. I am not sure how safe a city it is as I "lost" a very valuable watch, and I wonder if it was the act of pickpockets, or hotel staff, or it came lose (it has not in 15 years though.) That did leave me with a feeling of deep disappointment. That put aside, I very much recommend traveling to Corsica and spending a couple of days in Ajaccio.

We found many good restaurants and one favorite one we went to several times. The city is clean and the port is amazing, especially with the huge cruise ships in port. The streets with the shopping kiosks offer anything and everything. The streets go every which way but GPS was an absolute necessity. DON'T LEAVE HOME WITHOUT IT!!

We went to visit our granddaughter so she was our guide for the holiday. However, the hotel had a very comprehensive touch screen guide for transport, restaurants, places to see etc. Ajaccio was very accessible on foot and a week was enough to explore the town and surrounding areas on foot, bus and train. To go further afield you would need to hire a car. There were loads of restaurants and many cafes plus a weekly market by the harbour.
Great Little Hotel located only 1 block from the beach. They serve a great breakfast out on the front patio. My room was great , with a small balcony. Much more than I expected. During my travels I had a package that had failed to arrive. The owner was extremely helpful in finding the package. She went above and beyond. Because of the Owner , her staff and their wonderful Hotel . I can highly recommend staying at this hotel.
Despite the name, the hotel doesn`t resemble the "old castle"at all. Quite comfortable. My daughter and I really liked the pool, which we visited in the morning before leaving. The only thing that spoiled the mood is the price. Well, very expensive! Despite the pandemic and the almost complete absence of foreign tourists, the arrival of the French was enough. Prices for hotels in Corsica in July were not merciful....
We had a wonderful one-night stay as a stop on our road trip around Corsica. We didn't want to stay in the city centre, so the location was perfect for us with our car. It has a gorgeous boutique B&B vibe and the breakfast was delicious with incredible homemade jams and thoughtful touches. You could tell everything was made with love. The room itself was cosy and stylish and the bed was like sleeping in a cloud.
The staff was so helpful, friendly and all around sweet! As a woman traveling alone, I felt super safe and looked after. Thank you! I didn’t book breakfast so can’t provide any info on that but can say with certainty the hotel is really comfy and a true home away from home. Add in the brilliant location and you have yourself an excellent place to stay in Ajaccio. Would 10/10 book here again. Cheers! Georgia
Pictures do correspond to reality, this is a really big two-bedroom apartment with a huge kitchen and living room. Easy to recuperate keys. This is an apartment with character (probably inhabited by the real owner, when in town), with a few really beautiful old furniture, a classy apartment! Owner had left towels, shampoos and gel douches for everyone on their respective beds, something rare in Corsica.
Very nice place, the view, swimming pool, staff, we really appreciated everything, 10 min from the center, very quiet, private parking...
The breakfast is really nice, with pancakes made in front of you, eggs, ham, cheeses, fruits, cereals etc....
Staff of the hotel, especially receptionist is very friendly and professional.
Thank you for the excellent service, it's rear in France!
Very charming hotel in the heart of Ajaccio. Clean, comfortable and decorated with a taste. Extremely nice and helpful staff. I want to express my gratitude once again to Napoleon crew for shipping the jacket I forgot at the hotel and for providing us the comfort for online work between check out and our flight. I highly recommend this lovely hotel to everyone visiting Ajaccio.
Everything was wonderful, a charming old building, with thick walls and cozy views from the window. Very convenient location. I really enjoyed my stay, being next time in Ajaccio I'll try to book this place. The only thing I was missing was a shoehorn (chausse-pied). I think the owners will read my comment and add this little detail :) Et à bientôt!
Nice location in "the midst of it all" in a pedestrian zone which one can access by car to drop off luggage using a QR code that the hotel sends before arrival. Despite being in the midst of Ajaccio, the street facing room was quiet to sleep in. Nicely air conditioned. A relaxing stay in a super central part of Corsica's capital.
Friendly staff and the key factor for not giving a lower rating. The location is acceptable but you have to walk for about 40 minutes to reach town. Ajaccio is not a beautiful city, it's packed with cars and the hotel location looks more like a suburban area. Nice view of the bay in the hotel rooftop.
Great location in the city center, clean well equipped rooms and very convenient laundry room next to the hotel. Also the owner is really friendly and helpful. At walking distance you can find shops, bars, restaurants, pharmacy,... It was a great place to start our holiday after arriving by ferry.
Nice place, good value rooms, parking available right in front of the hotel.
The breakfast Buffet had plenty of choice.
My room had an amazing view
And the pizzeria downstairs (not part of the hotel but they recommended it) had the best Pizza I've had in a while.
Very friendly staff. A/C in the room was not oriented to the bed, so it could run all night, very good. Located in the middle of the city center, lots of restaurants and cafes around. We got a separate message to describe how to access the hotel, good job!
Great hotel in the city centre of Ajaccio. Spacious room with a balkony, fantastic atmosphere and a good breakfast. Very friendly staff and they offer valet parking.
And not to forget Lilly the hotel cat, she brings joy.
The hotel is in an exquisite location with its own very beautiful beach. We had our own porch that looked out onto the sea. We liked the bar that looked out on the ocean and pool. The room had a very efficient layout.
Super clean hotel with awesome staff! everyone is so nice and so accommodating!!! Room was big for European standard and the roof top terrace is super nice
