Staff were incredibly kind and helpful. Had a situation with the room we booked and was given another room immediately. The breakfast was amazing, finally some fruits and yoghurt on top of the other typical Moroccan foods. The first time we were offered smt different from all the other places we stayed on our trip. We arrived late but were still able to have lunch at the Riad which was very convenient as we were exhausted from a long drive. Staff gave us water bottles on our way out which was very generous as we had just run out.

La Perle Du Drâa, hotel in Zagora

Located in Amezraou, just 3 km from Zagora, La Perle Du Draa offers rooms with traditional Moroccan architecture and décor.

As a group of 7 people we had the place to ourselves. Lots of parking out the front of the hotel. Our room was huge, bathroom was a good size and even a balcony overlooking the desert. We asked about dinner and we're offered a tagine for all of us. It was fantastic, lots of flavour and none of us were disappointed. The next morning we had a phenomenal breakfast, the food just kept coming and it was all really good.

La Petite Kasbah, hotel in Zagora

Featuring an outdoor swimming pool, La Petite Kasbah is a traditional Moroccan riad in the town of Zagora. It offers air-conditioned rooms with a private bathroom.

What an absolute gem of a place. We only stayed one night but wish it could have been longer. We had a family room upstairs (one double and two singles), which had aircon and a mini fridge. My daughter felt unwell whilst there and the staff were so kind - they made her a special tea and said they would make her anything to eat when she felt up to it. The dinner was the best we had in Morocco (10euros per person) and the little pool area so delightful. Fantastic value for money.

Riad Tagmadarte Ferme d'Hôte, hotel in Zagora

Set in the palm grove of Zagora, the Riad is next to the sand dunes. Riad Tagmadarte Ferme d'Hôte offers double rooms and bungalows.

Excellent value for money. All the extras worked in our room. Aircon, fridge, TV and we had hot water on demand.. A lot of attention had been paid to the ceiling on building. Our patio was screened by vegetation from our neighbours giving us semi private outside space. The area was tranquil. Loads of birdlife. Next to some sand dunes. Food was good and reasonably priced. No one was in your face trying to add extra value to your stay. Best of all secure parking for the motorbike

Nice very welcoming humans away from touristic path.

Nice very welcoming humans away from touristic path. Very historical. You can ask at chez Ali about guides like Abdelhad or Molay Mustapha to show you around. Not far from desert. Very rich of history and culture of Morocco. Very special and unique.

No decent size shops not even a proper supermarket eg Carrefour. Can be difficult if not speak French or Arabic . Lots of beggars and sad sights like a man scavenging in bins. Dry and hot and dusty. No local bus services . Pedestrian crossings are ignored. Feels like the back of beyond lots of rubbish

Zagora is the gate to the Sahara desert.

Zagora is the gate to the Sahara desert. The village itself has a lot of nice bars, restaurants and hotels, and is the starting point for guided tours in the desert, all or not on a dromedary, all or not with an overnight stay in tent camps, for 1 or more days. Next to that, Zagora has twice a week a very big local market (Wednesday and Sunday) that is a must to experience! Further down the N9 you can find the small town Tamegroute, famous for its artisanal green pottery. Also a must to stop there and see the 7 families at work outside.

During our roadtrip through Marocco as a group of 3 young women we stopped for one night in Zagora. The Riad is located quiet in the center and we got an authentic impression of the city as there were almost no tourists. The host was really nice to us and available for any kind of request. We highly recommend the breakfast which was freshly cooked in the morning and it was a LOT of stuff! One of the best breakfasts we had in Marocco. We can just recommend this Riad to everyone who wants to stay in Zagora for a fair price.

Amazing stay at the Dromadaire. It has more of a guest house vibe than a hotel. Spacious apartment with an en suite bathroom, a cute little balcony looking on the main street of Zagora, and a delicious breakfast served in the restaurant downstairs. The owner mr Mustafa and his son Redwane took real good care of us and gave us excellent tips on things to do and see. We discovered hidden gems in the Kasba and learned so much thanks to mr Mustafa who had such interesting stories to tell. Highly recommend.

Wonderfull hotel :) Really recommend the trip to the dessert. (Last time with other agency it was just about to take money from tourist). Mohammad from Dar Tiziri was great guide. No pressure, he was listening what we want to see and do.. Not offering any friends stuff :) He was ready to answer all questions even in topics I was afraid to ask.. about Moroco, people, tribes, history, actual politics in the world, economy..from other than EU side of view ...thanks again :)

The hotel building and grounds were quite beautiful, in the middle of a palmerie. The unheated pool was very refreshing, as it was fairly hot when we were there on October 12, 2021. My room and bathroom were clean, but not many windows. The room has A/C, which is necessary, as it was pretty hot inside. They offered a free tour of the palmerie, but we didn't have time, as we arrived late, and were leaving early to get to the starting point of our Erg Chigaga tour.

beautiful, attractive courtyard area for eating . very well looked after. The room is big and bed comfortable. Bathroom modern and very clean. Aircon is good. They gave us a special secure parking garage for our motorbike and helped with parking it. When we asked to go for a swim they paid a taxi to drop us off at a sister hotel close by. . The manager is very very helpful and charming and speaks good English.

We stayed in Zagora for two nights before heading to the desert for the new years and it was a very good decision. Karim Sahara is a good place to stay in Zagora and is centrally located. Our host Karim is a well-travelled and hospitable person with whom we had some very good conversations. The breakfast at this place is really worth it, especially on the rooftop in winter morning sun.

There are rare times when you are welcomed to your hotel/riad/dar/wherever you’re staying and it feels like you’re being welcomed home. This is one of those cases. Asaad and Omar are kind, warm, and incredibly welcoming in an authentic way. And they are willing to accommodate whatever you need. It was great to get to stay here and I would recommend it to anyone.

The property is clean and tidy, the family who own the small hotel are very friendly and help with everything you need. They don’t speak much English but the owner brought his nephew over who spoke fluent English to help us sort out a trip for the day. Lovely quiet area with lots of shops and restaurants close by. Probably the best value hotel in zagora.

To me this hotel was not a hotel, it was like coming back home to see a long lost family!!! The owner Samir was like a brother, we will seat outside of his hotel door step and chat our way through life. I don't have words to describe my happiness in this place. Will find any excuse to come back to Zagora so I can stay again in this hotel.

Omar, the manager, couldn’t have been more gracious or helpful. We really appreciate his efforts to make our stay as good as possible. The art gallery is not to be missed, a surprising collection. We enjoyed a very good dinner and Omar’s hospitality. This is a good place to stay in Zagora, close to the center but quiet and serene.
